With love from Philly

Henry Miller stated that “One’s destination is never a place, but a new way of seeing things.”

My friend from Vancouver visited me last week, and it's definitely been a jam-packed, exciting past 6 days. She was able to see a lot of famous Philadelphia sites (The Love Park, the Liberty Bell, South Street to name a few), and we were even able to make day trips to Atlantic City and New York City. She definitely enjoyed her trip here and in turn, I was able to see Philly in a whole new light. Sometimes when you are living in the same place for such a long period of time, everything is familiar. And then when you look at the same place in a whole new light, it's like you're traveling there for the first time. The beauty of the Schuykill river early in the morning, the exciting atmosphere of South Street at night, and the wonder of seeing the "LOVE" sign for the first time-- and at night as well!

Philly is definitely a wonderful place to do my international co-op. And doing an international co-op also means that friends can visit me here!
